Edward (Ed) Mervyn Weaver

Edward (Ed) Mervyn Weaver passed in peace at his home on December 10, 2020 in Harbeson, DE at the age of 72. Ed is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn (Wendee) Weaver, dear friend and companion, for over 34 years.

Ed was born on March 1, 1948 in Wilmington, DE to Adele Pitsch and Robert Weaver. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1967, served in the Army, and was an Accountant for 45+ years. For many years, he enjoyed traveling and following the NASCAR circuit where he volunteered as a pit crew member with his brother Bruce and friends. He also acted as Treasurer for his local DelVets and American Legion.

He is survived by his son Edward Ryan Weaver and daughter Pamela (Jeffrey) Bingham, and her children Kyle, McKenzie and Jack; his brothers Robert (Bruce) Weaver and Richard (Dick) V. Weaver and wife Lorie and uncle to their collective eight children. He was stepfather to daughters Gail (grandfather to Brandon) and Julee (Dan) Schwieger (grandfather to Ryan Steward and Natalee Schwieger; and Kristeen (Jason) Chubb, their children Christopher, Lukas and Makenzee).

He will be deeply missed by friends, family and all who knew him.
