Charles Dennis "Denny" Venuto

Charles Dennis "Denny" Venuto, age 67, lost his courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Denny was raised in Eddystone and graduated from St. James in 1966. He lived in North Wilmington for 30 years before moving to Garnet Valley.

He served during the Vietnam War in the US Air Force and was an active member of Delaware Veterans Post 1 in Wilmington, DE, the American Legion Post 951 in Ogden, and longtime member of the Church of the Holy Child, Wilmington. Denny will always be remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed his cars, boating, his dog Annabelle, and especially his vacation home in Fenwick Island that he shared with family and friends. He was the Director of Respiratory Therapy at Sacred Heart Hospital from 1974 to 1989 and was co-owner and operator of RTA Home Medical Equipment in Chadds Ford.

He was the son of the late Joseph M. and the late Helen E. (Servatka) Venuto. Brother of the late Grace Mirolli.

SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 44 years Carol (Dussell) Venuto; Children: Brian Venuto (Robin), Jill Marsilii (Rob), and Julie Boesen (Josh); Grandchildren: Ray, Amie, Carli, Logan, Ty, Alexa, Savannah, and Bentley; Great Grandchildren: Kenny and Seamus; Several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Tuesday evening from 7-9:00pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston and Wednesday morning from 10-10:45am at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE.

FUNERAL MASS: Wednesday at 11:00 am at the church.

ENTOMBMENT: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
