JAMES M. SEAGER

 

Age 89, of the Linwood, Lower Chichester, died July 4, 2004 at Sterling Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Media.

 

Jim was born in Caln Twp, to the late Samuel and Nellie Seager. He was employed as general foreman for the Worth Steel Company of Claymont, DE for 30 years retiring as the general foreman in the fabricating shop in 1961. From 1961-1977 Jim worked for the Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, retiring in 1977.

 

He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and traveling, playing the slot machines at the casinos and he was the first senior bowler in Delaware to rank in the top 20 in 1980. Jim also enjoyed spending time building grandfather clocks as gifts for his family.


He was the Husband of the late Edna E. Rodgers Seager who died in February 2000 and the brother of the late George Seager. He is survived by his cousin, Mildred Dallar of Coatesville; and nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call from 10-11 Friday at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, 1459 Market St., Linwood. Interment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.
