Kreider Peffley III "Ozzie"
Oscar
Peffley of North Wilmington, 77, went to be
with the Lord peacefully on August 15, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was
born in Reading, PA
to the late Oscar Jr. and Edith Peffley in 1934 and spent most of his
childhood in Ventnor, NJ.
Mr.
Peffley was an Army Veteran and work for 37 years at the
ICI Cherry Point facility. He was a member of Del-Vets and a member and
former deacon of the Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church of Glen Mills, PA.
Ozzie loved spending time with his family and enjoyed traveling, especially
to warm places in cold weather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Evangeline "Lee"; a
brother Floyd; sisters Sarah Jane Early and Betty Schulte; sons Mark (Sharon) and Michael
(Terri); daughter Christine Demczak (Scott); six grandchildren and one
great-granddaughter.
Services will be at MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOMES, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington on
Wednesday, August 22 at 11 am. Friends may call one hour prior or on Tuesday
August 21 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Delaware Veterans Cemetery,
Bear.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Helen F. Graham
Cancer Center,
