Jack Owens

Jack Owens of Wilmington DE - Age 82. Jack went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 10, 2018 with his daughter, Dawn McCreary and his granddaughter, Lindsey McCreary, by his side. He is also survived by his daughter, Christie Edelson (David); his grandchildren: Cory McCreary (Angela), Lexie and Joshua Edelson, Caleb McCreary; and sister-in-law, Judy Owens. He is predeceased by his parents, Bert and Margaret Owens; brothers: Eugene, Bert and Harold Owens; and sister, Bette Sitar. Jack is now reunited with his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy Owens, who passed in 2014.

Jack worked for Doeskin in the 1950's. He retired from PMI, previously known as IPI and Witco Chemical in 1998 after 40 years as the Plant Manager. During retirement, he worked for Manlove Auto parts from 2004 to 2016. Jack was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. He was a man of strength and honor and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Mt. Lebanon UMC, 850 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803 at 11 am on Thursday, February 15 where family and friends are invited to call after 9:30 am. Interment will be held privately.
