ELLWOOD WILLIAM "Fred" MUTSCHER
Elwood served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He retired from Continental Can Company in 1968. After retirement, he spent
his mornings working for his son opening Larry's Mobil Service on Foulk and
Naaman's Roads. Ellwood
was a member of Delaware Veterans,
were he served as an elected officer of their State Board of Directors
and was a lifetime member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church. Elwood was preceded in death by his wife, Irma
Banks. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Crawford and her good friend,
Bud Sweeny, of Port Ritchie, FL; sons, Woody and his wife, Sharon, of Elkton,
MD and Larry and his wife, Eileen, of Chadds Ford, PA; 8 grandchildren; 5
great-grandchildren; and his sister, Hilma Davis of Newark, DE. He is also
survived by his longtime friend, Helena Serina. Funeral
services and interment was held on Tuesday, November 22, at 2 pm at the
Chapel in Gracelawn Memorial Park, DuPont Highway, New Castle. |
