"Eddie" Morris
AGE: 76 • Wilmington
Edward Thomas "Eddie" Morris,
age 76, of Wilmington, Delaware, formerly of Easton, Maryland, passed away on
Saturday December 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Eddie was a floraculturalist and the
owner and proprietor of W. D. Martine and Son on Shipley Road for over 50 years. He
hosted the weekly radio program on WILM called "The Garden Club"
for 30 years.
Eddie was a proud veteran of the U.S.
Army and was also a member of the Masons.
He was predeceased by his three
brothers, Hugh, Walter and James Morris. He is survived by his wife of four
years, Faye E. Morris; and siblings Annabell Howett of Rehoboth, Charles
Morris of Smyrna, Louise Miller of Bear, Elvie Albanese of Rehoboth, sister
Harriet Hale of Wilmington, and Paul Morris of Milton.
Funeral services will be held at noon
on Monday January 6, 2014 at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington where friends
and family may visit from 11 am to noon. Interment will follow the service at
Chester Bethel Cemetery.
