HAROLD MCANULLA

Text Box:  Age 68 of Glen Mills, PA, went home to the Lord on August 19, 2008, in Riddle Memorial Hospital following a very brief stay due to complications after lung cancer treatment.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 5, 1940, he was the son of the late James and Rose Me Anulla. He moved to the Delaware area in 1961 when he married and the family relocated to Glen Mills in 1981. Harold was a 1958 graduate of Roman Catholic High School and excelled in basketball in the Catholic League. He served on active duty in the Marine Corps in 1960 and continued in active reserves until 1966. His 30 year career as a Retail Manager with Sears, included 25 years at the old Lea Blvd store and retirement in 1999 from the Upper Darby location. He has been an active member of Delaware Veterans Post #1 since 1995 and served as Treasurer and Executive Board Member for several years. He's been an avid golfer with a regular golfing group and Club memberships at Tara (Bradenton, FL) and Bear Trap Dunes (Ocean View, DE). He's been a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and all are grief stricken by his sudden passing.

Harold will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Lafferty Mc Anulla; his son, Brian J. Mc Anulla and wife, Tiffany, grandsons, Zachary B. and Brandon J. Mc Anulla. Harold was the youngest of 9 children and is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Kleschick, Maryann Keen, Rosalie Clark, Kathleen La Mare, Patsy Cappo and brothers, William Clark and Raymond Clark and many nieces and nephews. Another brother, James Mc Anulla, is deceased.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10 am, at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 110 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA, after the Mass. Friends may call Sunday evening, 7-9 pm, at THE PAGANO FUNERAL HOME, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. And also Monday, 9:00 - 9:45 am, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Rd., Newark, DE 19713-2055; or to St. Cornelius School, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 in Harold's memory.
