JOHN H. “Jake” LEARY, Jr.

Text Box: Age 75 of Millsboro, DE died Monday, February 17, 2003 in the St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington.

Mr. Leary was a chemical engineer, retiring in 1989 from Ametek after 45 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and served in the Army Reserve. He was a member of & past Commander of the Delaware Veterans Post #1 and the VFW.

He is survived by his sons, John H. Leary, III of Athens, GA and Brian F. Leary of Wilmington; his daughter, Sheila M. Leary of Wilmington; his former wife, Berna Dean Leary of Wilmington; his sister, Janet Fannon of Horsham, PA; his grandchildren, Matthew Leary and Justine Leary; and his longtime companion, Betty Realey.

Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. On February 25, 2003.
