JOSEPH KEIFER
Joe graduated from North Catholic High School in Philadelphia PA and
held a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Pennsylvania's
Wharton School. Joe retired from Scott Paper as a Systems Analyst And
Programmer after 25 years service. After retirement he held various part time
jobs in accounting in the Wilmington area. Joe was a former member of the Boy
Scouts in Philadelphia for many years and a former Leader of Troop # 52 in
Wilmington. He was an Army veteran, a member of IHM and past commander and
treasurer of the Delaware Veterans Post #1. Joe is survived by his wife of 45 years, Helen L. Keifer, his
children, Joseph Keifer and Linda A. Keifer both at home; 4 brothers, Thomas
of West Chester, PA, James of Joppatown, MD, Richard of Cape May, NJ, and
John of Phila. PA; and 1 sister, Ann Marie Bertolini of Philadelphia PA. A viewing was be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 6-8 pm at the
MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville. A funeral mass was held on Tuesday at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of
Mary Catholic Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Liftwood, Wilm. DE 19803. Interment in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. Contributions may be made to the church or the Delaware Veterans Post
