Paul W. Donovan, Jr.

Paul W. Donovan Jr., age 73, of Wilmington, DE, passed on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Wilmington Hospital.

He was born in Wilmington to the late Helen (Flanigan) and Paul Donovan, Sr. Paul was a Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Boston, Fox Division from 1957-1959. He graduated from Widner University with a MBA. Paul worked for 37 years with the DuPont Company. After retirement, he donated his time to volunteer work with the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Gift of Life Program.

Paul is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wick-Donovan; son, James Donovan; daughter, Wendy Donovan; 3 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bruce and David and many nieces and nephews. Paul was also preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Linda (Oakes) Donovan in 1998.

Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul's name to, Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123-4101, would be greatly appreciated.
