Robert E. Castellani

Text Box:  Age 53, died May 27, 2010 at Christiana Hospital in Newark. He was the son of the late Marino and Enza (Roscella) Castellani.

Robert was born, raised, educated and a lifelong resident of Wilmington. He attended Mount Pleasant High School.

Bob was employed as an electrician by the DuPont Company, Foamex Company and most recently Alloy Surfaces in Aston, PA. Robert was a member of the Del Vets Club in Wilmington for 26 years. He loved cooking for his family, fishing, golfing, Nascar, and vacationing in Bethany Beach. He was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Holy Child, Wilmington. Bob served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years: Maureen (DiAmicis) Castellani; 2 sons: Robert Castellani of Jacksonville, FL and Stephen Castellani of Wilmington; 1 daughter, Rachel Castellani of Wilmington; 1 brother, Dennis Castellani of Mays Landing, NJ; 3 sisters: Sandra Fantini, Stephanie Castellani, and Gabriella Girardi all of Wilmington and grandfather of Robert N. Castellani.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11am at Holy Child Church, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington. Visitation, Wednesday 6-9 pm and Thursday from 9-10am at NOLAN-FIDALE FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. Burial, DE Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware, 240 N. James St. Newport, DE 19804.
