Robert W. "Bob" Cannan (1948 - 2017)

1948-2017 Robert “Bob” W. Cannan, age 69 of Marcus Hook, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 13, 2017. Born in Roxborough and raised in Linwood, PA, he resided for the past 36 years in Marcus Hook, previously residing in Linwood. Bob graduated from Chichester High School class of 1965, afterwards being drafted into the United States Army, where he served two years in the Vietnam War, and was decorated with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals. Bob enjoyed golfing, and was a collector of baseball cards and coins. He was employed by Linwood Post Office for 36 years, retiring in 2013. Bob was a gentle man who loved his family and cherished his many friends. He will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him. Bob is predeceased by his parents Wilmer and Sophie Myer Cannan and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathleen Pierce Cannan, 2 daughters, Shannan (Scott) Lamplugh and Lauren (Brad) Carhart, 3 grandchildren Sophia and Scott Jr. Lamplugh and Chase Carhart. At this time may we thank everyone who took such loving care of Bob during his courageous battle with cancer. Especially his angel and friend Samantha.
