William 'Bill' Bullock, 88, of Wilmington Delaware,
passed away, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Bill was
born November 11, 1926 in Wilmington, Delaware to William and Amy (Williams)
Bullock. He graduated from P.S. Dupont in 1945 and
was immediately drafted to serve in the Second World War's Asiatic Pacific
theater as an aircraft mechanic. Upon his return from WWII, Bill joined and ultimately took over
the family business, Bullock Iron Works. He married Norma McBride in 1956
with whom he had two children. He lived his entire life in Wilmington, where
he raised his family, grew the family business, and enjoyed his free time
passions: fishing, raising orchids, and enjoying the comradery
of his fellow veterans at the Delaware Veterans Club, Post #1.
Bill is survived by his daughter, son & daughter
in-law, June McBride, William H. Bullock II and Marci Hanlon; his three
grandchildren, Blake McBride, Alex and Rachel Bullock; his sister and brother
in-law Wanda and Bill Adamson of North Carolina and several nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Norma and his
sister and brother in-law Amy and James Broad.
His funeral ceremony will be held at 1 pm on Friday,
Dec. 5th at the Veterans Cemetery in Bear which will be followed by a
celebration of his life service at the Delaware Veterans Club, Post #1.
