George
Edward Buchwald
He
was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late George and Evelyn Buchwald. George
graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Delaware. He served his country as an Officer in the US Coast
Guard in Cape May, NJ. George dedicated his career to the DuPont Company as a
project engineer. He was a proud member of the Delaware Veterans Post #1. George
is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane M. Buchwald; 2 sons, George R. and
his wife Linda of Lewes, DE and Jon S. and his wife Kimberly of West Grove,
PA, 5 grandchildren, Katelyn, Patrick, Madison, Isabella and Brady. A
viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30, on Wednesday, March 25, at the
McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord
Pike, Wilmington(Talleyville), where a funeral
service will begin at 11:30am. Burial will follow at the Delaware Veterans
Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE, at 1pm. In
lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association DE Chapter, 240 N. James St.
