Diane M. Buchwald

Diane M. Buchwald passed away peacefully on April 11, 2015 at Heartland Hospice House.

She was born and raised in Wilmington, DE to the late Naomi and John Vanneman. Diane was a homemaker and worked in various schools to be near her children. She enjoyed all types of sports. In her younger years she was a tremendous athlete and her later years a fan. Diane was an avid card player and a proud and active member of the Delaware Veterans Post #1.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George E. Buchwald. Diane is survived by her sons, George R. and his wife Linda of Lewes, DE and Jon S. and his wife Kimberly of West Grove, PA, 5 grandchildren, Katelyn, Patrick, Madison, Isabella and Brady. She is also survived by her very special girlfriends who have provided her friendship and support for many years

Friends may call on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road), Wilm., DE 19803 where a service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
